AGSC Certified FAQ
What does AGSC Certified™ mean?
AGSC Certified™ means Fusion Auto Glass has been independently verified by the Auto Glass Safety Council (AGSC) to follow nationally recognized standards for safe windshield installation, proper materials, and correct repair procedures.
Why is AGSC certification important?
Your windshield is a structural safety component of your vehicle. AGSC certification helps ensure it’s installed correctly so it can support airbag deployment, roof strength, and advanced safety systems in the event of an accident.
How is an AGSC Certified™ shop different from a non-certified shop?
AGSC Certified™ shops are required to follow industry-approved installation procedures, use appropriate materials, maintain proper documentation, and stay up to date with safety standards. Non-certified shops are not independently held to these standards.
Does AGSC certification matter for vehicles with ADAS?
Yes. Proper windshield installation is critical for vehicles equipped with Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). AGSC certification confirms that procedures are followed to help ensure cameras and sensors function as intended after replacement.
How often is AGSC certification reviewed?
AGSC Certified™ shops must maintain compliance with current safety standards and undergo ongoing review to keep their certification active.
How many AGSC Certified™ shops are in Columbus?
Fusion Auto Glass is proud to be one of only five AGSC Certified™ shops in the Columbus area, placing us among a small group of providers meeting these national safety standards.
